Short Answer

Answer Help

5 + 3 x 2 = 11

(Multiplication before addition: 3 x 2 = 6, then 5 + 6 = 11)

10 ÷ 2 + 4 = 9

(Division before addition: 10 ÷ 2 = 5, then 5 + 4 = 9)

6 - 2 x 2 + 1 = 3

(Multiplication before addition/subtraction: 2 x 2 = 4, then 6 - 4 + 1 = 3)

(8 + 2) ÷ 5 = 2

(Brackets first: 8 + 2 = 10, then 10 ÷ 5 = 2)

3 x 4 - 5 + 2 = 9

(Multiplication before addition/subtraction: 3 x 4 = 12, then 12 - 5 + 2 = 9)
