Egg-cellent Egg Drop Challenge! 🥚🪂

Let's put our engineering skills to the test and protect a delicate egg from a gravity-defying fall!

Your Mission:

Design and build a gadget that will protect an egg from cracking when dropped from a height.

Materials:

  • 1 raw egg

  • Assorted household items (cardboard, straws, balloons, tape, cotton wool, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Brainstorm and sketch your design. Think about how you can cushion the egg and absorb the impact of the fall.

  2. Gather your materials and start building your egg protection device.

  3. Test your creation by dropping it from a safe height (start low and gradually increase).

  4. Refine your design if necessary and keep testing until your egg survives the drop!

Bonus Challenges:

  • Compete with friends or family to see whose egg protector is the most effective.

  • Experiment with different materials and designs.

  • Measure the height from which your egg can be dropped without cracking.
