Your Mission:
Choose a page from your favourite book or magazine.
Hunt for different grammatical elements within the text, such as:
Nouns (people, places, things, ideas)
Verbs (action words)
Adjectives (describing words)
Adverbs (words that describe verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs)
Pronouns (words that replace nouns)
Conjunctions (words that connect words, phrases, or clauses)
Highlight or underline each element you find with a different colour.
Create a chart or table to categorize and count the different grammatical elements you discovered.
Bonus Challenges:
Analyze the sentence structures used in the text. Are they simple, compound, or complex?
Identify any figurative language, such as metaphors or similes.
Rewrite a paragraph from the text, changing the sentence structure or adding more descriptive language.
