The Case:

  • A baker baked a batch of cookies.

  • He put some cookies on a tray to cool.

  • When he returned, he found that 1/3 of the cookies were missing!

  • He counted 12 cookies left on the tray.

Your Mission:

  1. How many cookies were on the tray originally?

  2. If the baker suspects his dog ate the missing cookies, and each cookie has 50 calories, how many calories did the dog consume?
