A bill giving Scotland its own parliament for the first time in three centuries was unveiled in Glasgow. Work commenced in June 1999 on the Scottish Parliament Building. It was built at a cost :- £414 million (ten times over the original budget).

  2. Holiday Baking:

    • A recipe for gingerbread cookies calls for 0.75 cups of sugar. Convert this to a fraction.

    • You need 1.5 kilograms of flour for a Christmas cake. How many grams is this?

  3. Festive Fractions:

    • Add 1/4 + 3/8 = ?

    • Subtract 5/6 - 1/3 = ?

    • Multiply 2/5 x 1/2 = ?

    • Divide 3/4 ÷ 1/2 = ?
