Shape Search! 🔺🟩🔵

Let's sharpen our geometry skills and embark on a shape-finding adventure!

Your Mission:

  1. Explore your surroundings (indoors or outdoors) and look for examples of different 2D and 3D shapes.

  2. Identify and name the shapes you find (e.g., squares, circles, triangles, cubes, spheres, cylinders).

  3. Record your findings on a piece of paper or in a notebook.

  4. Challenge yourself to find at least one example of each shape category:

    • Quadrilaterals (squares, rectangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, etc.)

    • Triangles (equilateral, isosceles, scalene)

    • Circles and ellipses (ovals)

    • Polygons with more than 4 sides (pentagons, hexagons, etc.)

    • 3D shapes (cubes, spheres, cylinders, cones, pyramids, etc.)

Bonus Challenges:

  • Draw or photograph your favorite shapes to create a collection.

  • Create a collage or sculpture using different shaped objects.

  • Research famous buildings or landmarks that feature interesting geometric shapes.
