Register Now: External Exams at Rydal Penrhos

As we enter the new year, time is running out to secure an exam centre for your child.

With demand for places increasing and the availability of centres remaining limited, many families are struggling for options.

Thankfully, a new exam centre is here to help home-educated private candidates across North Wales and the North West.

In 2025, Rydal Penrhos School in Colwyn Bay will open its doors as an external exam centre, providing private candidates with the opportunity to sit their exams in a secure, supportive environment. This includes GCSEs, IGCSEs, AS-Levels, A-Levels, university admissions exams, and more.

With state-of-the-art facilities, experienced staff, and a 140-year tradition of academic excellence, Rydal Penrhos offers an ideal setting for your child to excel.

Registering as a private candidate is simple, but spaces are limited. Here is what you will need to get started:

  • Valid photographic ID for the student.

  • Proof of address for the student.

  • UCI number, if the student has previously sat exams.

To apply for your child to sit their exams at Rydal Penrhos, email [email protected]. With places limited, act today to avoid disappointment!
